Who is responsible?
answers.one Ltd. (“we”, “us”), registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16657444), registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ, is the data controller under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and Norway Personal Data Act 2018, and a business under the California CCPA/CPRA.

What data do we collect?
We may collect the following categories of personal data:
Identification and contact data (e.g., name, email address), account credentials and communication preferences, usage analytics (e.g., pages visited, features used, device and browser information), and, where you give explicit consent, special category data. We will always tell you at the point of collection exactly what special category data is involved and why it is needed.
Why do we process your data, and on what legal basis?
Each processing purpose is paired with its lawful basis under UK GDPR / EU GDPR / Norway:
Registration and account management — necessary for the performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)).
Service delivery and customer support — necessary for the performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)).
Marketing communications — based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time, and withdrawal takes effect immediately.
Compliance and security monitoring — based on our legitimate interest in protecting our services, users, and systems (Article 6(1)(f)). You may request a copy of our legitimate interests assessment by contacting us.
Processing of special category data — based on your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)).
For users in Türkiye: we rely on explicit consent (KVKK Article 5/1) and, where applicable, contract performance (Article 5/2-c).
Under the CCPA/CPRA, we rely on the sale/share opt-out model and limited-use exemptions for sensitive personal information unless you opt in otherwise.
Automated decision-making
We do not currently use solely automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you (Article 22 UK GDPR). If this changes, we will update this notice and provide you with meaningful information about the logic involved.
Will we sell or share your data?
We do not sell personal data for monetary consideration. If we ever “share” data for cross-context behavioural advertising within the meaning of the CCPA/CPRA, we will provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link and honour Global Privacy Control signals.
International transfers
Where your personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as appropriate. For transfers from the EEA, we use EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Data may be transferred to United Kingdom, Netherlands and the United States. A copy of the relevant transfer mechanism is available on request.
Retention
We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Our key retention periods are as follows: account data is retained for the duration of your account and for 12 months after closure; transaction and support records are retained for one (1) year to meet legal and regulatory obligations; inactive marketing profiles are purged after one (1) year; and usage analytics are retained in identifiable form for one (1) year.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have some or all of the following rights.
UK, EEA, and Norway (UK GDPR / EU GDPR / Norway Personal Data Act): access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, the right not to be subject to solely automated decision-making, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
California (CCPA/CPRA): the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale/share, and limit the use of sensitive personal information.

How to withdraw consent
Click the “unsubscribe / opt-out” link in any marketing email, or contact us at the address above. Withdrawal of consent takes effect immediately. For other rights requests (such as access or deletion), we will respond within one calendar month of receiving your request, as required by UK GDPR Article 12. For California “do not sell/share” requests, we will respond within 10 business days.
Consequences of not providing data
Providing personal data is voluntary. However, certain data is necessary to create and maintain your account, and without it we may be unable to provide our services to you.
Complaints
You have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Relevant authorities include the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, the Norwegian Datatilsynet at datatilsynet.no, or, for California residents, the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA).
Updates
We may update this notice to reflect legal or operational changes. Where changes are material, we will notify you in advance and, where required by law, seek your renewed consent. The current version is always available at answers.one/privacy.
